An Independent
Baptist Church

Independent is a simple term.  It means that we are not a part of or affiliated with any denominational group, assembly, or ecclesiastical body.  We are governed completely by the membership of the local church in accordance with the doctrines and precepts set forth in the Bible, which is the word of God.

Baptist defines our basic doctrinal position and beliefs.  That doctrinal  position stated simply is as follows:  The Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God and as such is the basis for faith and practice.  {examples:  The Bible teaches the virgin birth and deity of Christ and we believe what the Bible teaches (Jesus Christ is God the Son).  The Bible teaches the necessity of blood atonement and that Christ is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world.  We believe what the Bible teaches (Jesus Christ, God’s sinless sacrifice, Himself for all the world, God our Savior).  The Bible teaches the resurrection of Christ and his visible pre-millennial and pre-tribulational return to take his bride away.  We believe what the Bible teaches and look forward to his return daily at any moment (Jesus Christ, God our Sovereign).}  Baptist doctrine is Bible doctrine.

Church, A local church is a body.  An organized group of saved and baptized {by immersion} believers, male and female, called by God to unite by covenant, together with one another and with Him; to serve in a specific area, a defined definite location, for the express purpose of spreading the gospel in the neighborhood, the city, the state, the nation, and in the world: fulfilling the command which is the great commission of our Lord: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
